I am a big hockey fan…and once again our Vancouver Canucks have made the playoffs. The first team they are playing are the Stanley Cups winners from last year, the Chicago Blackhawks.
The first three games all went well, we were kicking ass, we were up 3 to nothing in the series.
Then it happened. It always does. They choke.
Like they have a big ole salmon bone stuck in their throats.
Two games, we lose…and not just a little bit…the first game we lost 7 to 2…thats right…7 to 2.
Bad.
Fans sad.

We of course have faith they will come back the next game, after all, they were kicking ass right?
Wrong.
We lose 5 to 0. I know right?
Now I am nowhere near jumping off the bandwagon. I have been faithful to this team for so many years, I know better.
I have total faith that they will win the Stanley Cup, I say it out loud every year that they make the playoffs. I am pretty much always wrong.
Well not this year.
They are playing right now, it is the second period…the score is 2 to 1, for us. We can do it, I know we can.
Our amazing Roberto Luongo hasn’t been playing that well the last few games, he was on fire in the beginning. Tonight they started Cory Schneider, which is a really good move, the kid is on his game and he wants this. He deserves his chance.
I don’t care about the politics like Roberto makes ridiculous amounts of money, like 7 Million dollars a year people…
Or that Cory Schneider makes a measly $900,000.
Put in the guy that is getting the job done. Maybe you need to adjust the pay ratio’s a little bit? Just saying, although I believe that Roberto has a contract for at least 10 more seasons with the Canucks.
But don’t put him in just because you are freaking idiots and pay him too much.
Cory Schneider has outplayed him in the last two periods of THIS game enough to give him a 200,000 raise. Really, think about that. I am sure Roberto will give up some of his wage. How the hell will he ever spend all that money anyways?
I know I am being kind of hard on Roberto. I don’t mean to be, when he is on his game he is killer, and seriously a lot of it wasn’t his fault, the defense was pretty much non existent for the bad games.
Chicago’s goalie had two games where absolutely NOTHING was getting past him either…
Oh, crap…now it is 2 to 2…dammit.
The third period will be brutal. It may just end me. Like totally right off. I have a really sore shoulder and a killer headache anyways, maybe it will be a blessing in disguise.
You will miss me when I am gone, blame the Canucks. It’s all their fault. Oh and maybe my Dad’s a little too. I wouldn’t have ever started watching if it wasn’t for him.
I think I should go now, blogging while I am having hockey rage won’t be pretty…I will update you on the score tomorrow. Or not.
We will see how I feel about the whole situation, or if I even make it through without a jammer. It’s not looking good…
But just for the record, and because I am not a quitter…
GO CANUCKS GO!!!
Peace ♥ Out…
