A Province enthralled…

by Redneckprincess

The place is a ghost town…

no customers

no traffic

no one walking down the street…

back yards are eerie in their silence

with no one making a sound

no kids, no laughter, no one mowing the lawn.

The sun is shining, it’s a beautiful day…

But no one cares

there could be 4 feet of snow in June

no one would be paying attention.

We are onto game 3.

We have swept the first two.

Our excitement is mounting

we can almost taste

a moment we have waited for pretty much forever.

The chance never this good

The wins so amazingly sweet

Competition so fierce

Emotions so high

Superstitions keeping us all in our zones.

Be it beard

or shirt

or flag

or prayer.

We all do what we can

to keep up the faith

to support our team

to show the love.

It’s what we have worked towards all through the year

with the cheering

the faith

the sorrow

the pain.

Overcoming the odds

to be where they are

now.

So here’s to the cup

may the best team take it

it’s been a great ride

with constant excitement.

A goal and the Province erupts from it’s silence

the yelling vibrating through the air

uniting us all

with Canadian pride and love for our team

make us prouder than we already are boys!!

We know you can do it…

GO CANUCKS GO!!!!

  1. It’s OK, we all said in 5. However we didn’t need to be trounced like that. Oh well, tomorrow we’ll pick up the pieces figure out wtf happened, fix it, play it right. WIN. Take our game home with the cup in tow and have our parade. Make sure you’re ready Gregor.
    GO Canucks Go.
And boys lets be on our best behaviour. Boston, come on guys you were winning 4-0 did you really feel the need to be A-holes.

  2. And…why didn’t I get a smiley face?????

  3. Ahhhhh….so we are talking about hockey. :)

  4. I’m for Boston, but GO CANUCKS for you, I do admit it would be cool to have the cup back in Canada again…..been awhile.

  5. Yeah! Canucks GO! I have no idea about ice hockey but your passion comes across enough for me to jump in my seat and yell: GO CANUCKS GO! Seriously. That was more inspiring than watching England in the last World Cup!
